Preston & Child have a way of grabbing me from the first page.

I'm liking this in direct proportion to as much as I hated Children of Time

I tried Children of Time and could not get into it. This is different. Really enjoying it.

Just enough world building to ignite my imagination, interesting cast of characters, intriguing plot, and a villainous enigma. Really enjoying it thus far.

90% of the action is the lead character talking on her phone while driving in unrealistic frozen conditions in southern Virginia.

Can't wait for it to be over. Still just a series of mysterious events, no clue as to what it is building toward and character development is still lacking.

1/4 of the way through and still don't know what's going on. It is taking too long to build any suspense or mystery. No real world building and little character development. Just a v e r y s l o w build.

I am both laughing and learning. There is history and hilarity. And for me, a remembrance of the woods I grew up in and around. An enjoyable read.

so far the info is good, but I'm looking for some concrete guidance to become all that this book tells us to be. So far, I am not seeing that kind of guidance, so, I am a bit disappointed
