Louise Penny is one of my favorite authors; I have quite a few. I began this book today and it is difficult to put down. Her main character, Armand Gamache, is such an interesting. kind. and honorable man, and is bound by duty and service in his role of upholding law and order.

I thought this book was mildly entertaining but I did not feel like I actually knew these characters. It was the first book in this series that I’ve read so maybe that is not a fair assessment.

I have read several of the Flavia de Luce novels written by Alan Bradley and so far I am also enjoying this one, too.

this is a very involved plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat!! Just when you think you know what is going to happen---you don't.

just getting into the introduction of the many characters in this book

I have read First Counsel and The Inner Circle and I am excited to read this one, too.
