“Like the other Lynch brothers, he was a regular churchgoer, but most people assumed he played for the other team. He dressed in funeral black and had a raven as a pet.”

FLUFFY D: IM SO SAD

going to reach my reading goal this year 💪

afraid it’s going to be monotonous like cdth was for me but we’ll see !!! i ♡ maggie steifvater’s writing style either way

“Will had heard love described in so many dramatic, bizarre ways over the years, but no one had described it like this:
It’s like drifting down a river of pain and knowing you are safe.
It’s like holding a person in your arms and realizing they are an interlocking piece of a puzzle you hadn’t known how to assemble…
It was a son of Apollo falling for a son of Hades.
It was this.”

brb crying my eyes out

Will and Nico’s dynamic is so fascinating to me—they both have a fear of being abandoned, they argue, they struggle to understand each other at times, they are still affected by their trauma but also very clearly love and care for each other and try their hardest to be support for the other. It’s refreshingly realistic to see them argue but keep trying.

I’m honestly confused as to why I saw so many people complain about this book? The writing style is noticeably more lyrical and composed, yet there’s plenty of Rick Riordan’s trademark humor. Of course I’m not very far in so I might change my mind but I really enjoy it so far.
