The Nichijou series is definitely a comedy. Nothing serious ever happens to the characters and the whole book is very lighthearted and fun. I expect the book to have a happy ending based on wheat ive seen so far with these books. Also a trackable story almost doesn't exist. This means that the author dont put much effort into the story more into the comedic aspect of the book. That is why i believe many like nichijou

The goal that the characters in nichijou are constantly fighting for is the ability to have a ordinary life. There has been little progress towards achieving this goal with fate being ruthless. The whole book stays the same amount of action throughout the whole book.

1. I know that chaters are influenced by previous scenerios and ther emotions are not "reset".

2. Important how mai seems to be getting less mean.

3. More outside characters

4. More 'effort' put into mad scientist side story.

5. Closer bond with main characters.

I believe a very important moment in this book is when Yukko goes into the coffee shop. She had a embrassing experience there. After this incident, she became more shy in general. Before, she was very outgoing. This is significant because she was the only truly outgoing person left in the group. Now there is rarely ever any stranger interaction now.

Nichijou is a Manga, so you read the book backwards and such, however, it could also be called a series of short stories or journal entries. The whole book is about the characters trying to lead normal lives. The events that make their lives not normal are not constantly occurring, so there is a significant amount of time in between each time we see the characters in the book.

Throughout the whole book, I rarely if ever tell the characters what to do in my head. If i was in the same universe as Nichijou (I assume i'm in Fukushima, Japan) I think I would just be an onlooker to the chaos that the main characters cause. My house would also most likely be damaged at least once by the massive explosions cause by many scenes in the book.

Hakasae is a trickster. I talk about the main 3 charecters a lot (Mai, Mio and Yukko) so i thought i would talk about Hakasae. She is always pulling pranks on Nano and wants snacks afterwards and cries when she does not get them. She provides a lot of comic relief and that is why i believe she is a trickster

I really have no idea what Mai is really motivated by, but i have sone there's. As you know Mai rarely ever talks, every chapter she maybe only says a sentece or two. I think she might be motivated by desire or jealousy. She could possibly be driven by desire, maybe she just wants to make fun of Yukko and Mio for her own enjoyment. Maybe, Mai is really jealous of Yukko and Mio. Then she acts upon jealousy.

The mood of the book is Humorous. I am very confident that the tone is humorous all the way through. There is not many moments of emotion or anything, however, when this moments do happen. Usually something funny will happen, making it a humorous moment.

I believe the round character in Nichijou is Mai. Even though I find her annoying at times, she seems to show more human behavior than some of the other characters. When she is put into a situation, i never know how she is going to do. She always suprises me. She also shows human behaviors. Even though she is quiet she shows emotion in some situations. This is why she is a round character.

In Nichijou, I believe that the flat character in this book is Mio. I feel this way because I always know how she might react to something. If she is put in a situation i can stop reading and accurately predict how she will react or what she will say. For example, when she is doing a drawing contest with Yukko. When Yukko draws a parasite. I knew Mio was going to question why the drawing looked weird, and she did.

For me the sympathetic charters in Nichijou are Yukko, Mio, Nano, Hakasae and Haruna.
The unsympathetic charter are Mai. I dont really like her because she is annoying and ruins things.
I really like all the charets in nichijou including mai but the reason I said that i dont like mai is bacause i find her annoying at times. However, overall i still like mai.

Nichijou is definitely a chareter driven story. The whole book is focused around the charets in this book and the story would not exist without them. The charetrs also show some development but not enough to be considered. The reason they dont show much development is because they story drives off their chareters personalities.

The 3 main charterers in Nichijou are Yukko, Mio and Mai. The reason I am going to be focusing in Yukko is because she is focused on the most in the book. I feel that so far Yukko is a steadfast character. She barely changes throughout the whole book even though Nichijou has a great story line. Yukko also reflects the steadfast of all the other charterers in the book as well. All Nichijou charterers remain steadfast.

I believe that the perspective of Nichijou is 3rd person omniscient. The reason why I believe this is because the narrator hops around the area to different parts of the story and is able to see what the characters are thinking. The narrator rarely talks himself, but also does a very good job of withholding information from the reader and also creating a bond with the reader and the characters.

My last goodreads update said that i found the conflict to be a character vs self. I believe the protagonist in this book is all the charters except hakasae. (I will give my reasons why later) The antagonist is themselves and fate. The reason why hakasae is an antagonist if because she will never take the key off of Nanos back (Wich she hates)
(I still like Haskase though)
(but Yukko is still my favorite)

The conflict in this book is definitely a charterer vs self. The reason that the charters are fighting themselves is that all the charterers want to have a normal life but they are all struggling through. This could also be consisted a character vs fate story because their fate is that crazy things happen to them.

Nichijou can be described as a realistic fiction, comedy and maybe romance. It can be constiored a realistic fiction because everything that happens in the book can also happen in real life. It is also a comedy because it is funny when the charters sty to have normal lives. It can also be considered a romance because of Mio and Tacchibana's crush on Sasahara.

For this assignment I will do Yukko. On the first page of the first book the book introduced her as cheerful. I also believe she is not the smartest person ever. Her main flaw is her never doing her homework or paying attention at school at all. However Yukko is highly motivated by being able to leave school and do her own thing. Despite all the flaws Yukko is still my favorite character in Nichijou.

Nichijou Narrative:
The manga series Nichijou is most likely a non linear narrative. The are 2 min story plots and some smaller lesser used plots. The 2 main plots are the plots of Mio, Yuuko and Mai. The other one is the plot of Hakase and Nano. There are also plots that do not involve any of the charterers from the main 2 plots at all. These plots only usually last a couple of pages or a chapter at most.

All the characters in nichijou live in a smaller Japanese city. Yukko is described as cheerful Mio is described as normal and Mai is described as quiet. On the other sie of town Mio is described as a robot. The strangest is hakases description, or should i say, a lack of a description. Details on hakases past are completely unknown. It is completely unknown the events before and after nichijou.
