one thing i never do, is assume where holly jackson is going in the novel. i never try to hypothesise cuz i will always be wrong

this mc is pissing me off and i get that that’s the whole point but i do think that jackson may have struggled a little to realistically emulate the thought processes of such a disturbed individual that needs to be mean and rude as a way to take back power. nevertheless, her suspense and build is brilliant as always, it always makes me empathise with the mc and projects the fear seamlessly. need bel to let ash in.

the main character is very interestingly written and portrayed
