I bumped to 1.5x. Let's get this puppy over and done.

I left this to listen to an entire other audiobook, but I suppose I should come back and finish this one. It's starting to drag, and I feel like her points been made. And remade. And getting a tad repetitive, if from various angles. But, finish it I shall.

I'm really uncomfortable with the torture scenes, especially when we remember these kids are 15-19 and these books are written for readers of similar age 😬

What kind of cozy action thriller is this book?? 😆 there is soooo much time being spent on hanging out and learning things. Multiple scenes learning about new foods, very sophisticated for teenagers. Evans waa writing cozy before his time! Maybe he's just compensating for books 2 and 3. When is the danger gonna happen???

Wow reeeaaallly slow getting off the ground in this one, and already a quarter of the way in. I've honestly zoned out listening to a couple of these data dumpy backstory conversations, and I don't feel like I missed much important. Hopefully it picks up soon.
