Informative and educational, and yet truly more of a slog than I was expecting

Chapter 1, Chapter 2; tablet feels much more compelling than the other, interesting ideas of gridding as a way of rendering visible/legible/creating a “plane of information,” as Deleuze might say, how that visibility/legibility implies an ability to represent/recreate that forms the basis of knowledge/regulation. Wonder if there’s any connection with Heidegger’s idea/essay re: the world picture

“I have learned from Henry to make notes, to expand, not to brood secretly, to move, to write every day, to do, to say instead of meditating, not to conceal the breaking up of myself under emotion.”

“There are some things one cannot seize by realism, but by poetry. It is a matter of language.”

“What we analyze, will it die?”

“Henry gives me the world. June gave me madness.”

“…She makes use of the soft part of the bread for a napkin. She falls asleep at times with her shoes on, on unmade beds. When a little money comes in, June buys delicacies, strawberries in the winter, caviar and bath salts.”
