This is so cringe sometimes but I will persevere

I hate when authors make stylistic choices in their writing thinking that it makes them artistically unique but it’s just grammatically incorrect. Why not use quotation marks? What is the purpose? The book is interesting so far but the lack of quotation marks is quite off putting.

I’m a re-reader of the series, but I never read the novellas (so this is my first time reading this book but not the series as a whole) and omg why is this making me really dislike Nazeera 😭

Why do authors ruin the perfect boy by making him do something problematic to justify the protagonist liking the obviously worse boy
