I bought this book when I was taking modern china but resding it now the prose is nothing to write home about, it’s simple like “to live”which also deals with the cultural revolution, but this story is nice and a good way to brush up on my modern Chinese history as it’s already mentioned a lot of events

The only tjing I don’t like is Peter mid Walsh

This story is actually insane the characters are insane. I hate and love all of them. Everything is so good and fucked up. Oh my God I love this and so theres much mystery. Oh my God this is just amazing. This is my finals reward. I’m finishing this book. I love this book so much.

Well, I left my other book in Raners car so now I’m here and closer to finishing this than my other book. It’s not too sad yet but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be devastating. I went in pretty much blind, but then I read the freaking first page which gives a spoiler and I was like Bruh cause I would not have guessed what would happen would happen, but whatever. It’s very good

this book isn’t written the best but it’s fun to read I need to finish it before 2026
