Nearly done fell asleep in the second to last chapter reading it last night. Distractions and beautiful imagery have helped this week.

Can’t sleep so far tonight. So tea. And this book. All the while my thoughts interject and ruin my enjoyment and peace.

Of course the section on humans as part of the safety solution was lighter than the section on humans as the safety problem.

My bet is this second main character makes decisions that result in this alternate family line…

Anything related to adoption is difficult for me - I am so very against it in the vast majority of situations - so I am reading this with trepidation.
