Part 4 was a doozy.

Finished part 3, onto part 4.

Cosy!!! Such a love letter to books and especially reading for comfort and reading as a home that you can take anywhere and revisit any time.

I like it but I'm not in love with it. I think I will need to give this one another go in a few years.

This didn't immediately click for me and I'm not attached to any one character particularly. It's interesting, though, and I'm excited to keep reading.

Book so long!

The revolution plot is a bit boring... I only really care about Winter and Jacin's storyline getting resolved. Hm and Cress and Thorne getting together. The actual plot stuff is really dull.

I think this is going to be my favourite book in the series. I just know Winter and Jacin's arcs are going to be the best 😤

Raoul and Christine come off as really childish, they're kind of annoying me.

This book is so good 😭. I'll be honest I read ahead a little bit to chapter 30, and it was so well-written. Why must I sleep??? I'm sure this will be addictive to the last page if I continue, so I have to stop here. 😢

I've finally met Shirley, and I can't say I like her. Something has happened that has made me quite angry, and I desperately want to look up spoilers, but i won't. I'll try to trust the authoress for now. (Charlotte - you better fix this mess and soon).

I'm finding it quite funny. I also think I'm beginning to really understand the characters. There was a passage where the author was describing two characters viewpoints on something and I predicted a third character's attitude with perfect accuracy. I was very proud ☺️
I like applying what I've learnt in the Poverty course to this and deciphering some of the tricky language has been fun! :)

WHAT IS GOING ON?! NOTHING COULD HAVE PREPARED ME FOR THIS

Oh my goodness,this is so painful to read . The writing is so accurate to the little specificities that make an interaction all the more embarrassing or painful. It's killing me! She describes the way an interaction looks from one perspective to another perfectly! How?? And the chapters are pleasantly short. I feel like Anne is a more fleshed out version of Jane Fairfax from Emma. I'm enjoying this through the pain

It's not very believable or interesting, but I think I'm enjoying it anyway 🤷‍♀️. It's my frazzled, broken brain- it can't handle any more than this.
