Ok, I love this turn of events

I think this is going to be my favourite book in the series. I just know Winter and Jacin's arcs are going to be the best 😤

Raoul and Christine come off as really childish, they're kind of annoying me.

This book is so good 😭. I'll be honest I read ahead a little bit to chapter 30, and it was so well-written. Why must I sleep??? I'm sure this will be addictive to the last page if I continue, so I have to stop here. 😢

I've finally met Shirley, and I can't say I like her. Something has happened that has made me quite angry, and I desperately want to look up spoilers, but i won't. I'll try to trust the authoress for now. (Charlotte - you better fix this mess and soon).

I'm finding it quite funny. I also think I'm beginning to really understand the characters. There was a passage where the author was describing two characters viewpoints on something and I predicted a third character's attitude with perfect accuracy. I was very proud ☺️
I like applying what I've learnt in the Poverty course to this and deciphering some of the tricky language has been fun! :)

WHAT IS GOING ON?! NOTHING COULD HAVE PREPARED ME FOR THIS

Oh my goodness,this is so painful to read . The writing is so accurate to the little specificities that make an interaction all the more embarrassing or painful. It's killing me! She describes the way an interaction looks from one perspective to another perfectly! How?? And the chapters are pleasantly short. I feel like Anne is a more fleshed out version of Jane Fairfax from Emma. I'm enjoying this through the pain

It's not very believable or interesting, but I think I'm enjoying it anyway 🤷‍♀️. It's my frazzled, broken brain- it can't handle any more than this.

I'm kind of bored

This is the kind of book to read when it's tipping it down 🌧

Well I'm really liking this so far. I find it strangely relaxing, all the stuff about boarding school, rain, prized possessions and children's quarrels. I like the narrative style where the narrator picks and chooses things to talk about which aren't I chronological order but it flows nicely. And I love how realistically the children are written- they think really carefully about things and are misguided but not dumb
