genuinely really enjoying myself! maybe i should have made my reading goal 15 instead of 10 🤪

i’m sick as a dog, but it’s meant that i’ve had some time to read! martin is a good writer. plenty accessible too. but some scenes are weird and uncomfy, like the scene i just finished reading. that’s all i can handle for tonight.

i actually find it pretty difficult to read too much of this in a day. there is a genuine level of frustration that comes with reading stuff like this

i know - this is a weird one. but i got this book at this talk thingy will and i went to and thought it would be interesting - so far, it’s only annoyed me! people are idiots!

you know what the good thing is about having a reading goal of 10? when i finish this book, ill have finished my goal! and can read with ease

boom. weren’t expecting this one, were you? it’s pretty damn good

on the other side of the world atm but took this little nugget with me! adoring it so far - anyone that knows me knows my deep love of the iliad and the story of troy. not to mention my love of stephen fry’s writing!

started the audiobook for this one too - i’m counting it as reading still. i physically read enough shit for my lesson planning

admittedly, i have only really been listening to the audiobook. it keeps me company on the way to prac and back home (the long trip to auburn and back) and its just so good. love this one so much

was also very keen on starting this one so started this tonight too! prose is soooooo beautiful and i’m very much looking forward to it

getting to the end of the story of jason and the argonauts and things are starting to come together quite a bit. i studied the ancient greek tragedy ‘medea’ in a uni class a couple years ago and connecting that play to the actual myth is superrrr interesting. medea is fucking wacko in that play - and turns out she’s been wacko since her very first introduction! so cool!
