really starting to fuck with this

gillig when i catch you 😾

dead beat is too sacred to be read by the pool so i’m back on this. rory is just the guy from one dark window all over again… but i don’t remember him being this charming in the first book 😏

bomb officially dropped

‘i can hold a grudge until it squeals’

welcome back kaz ‘i don’t hold a grudge. i cradle it. i coddle it. i feed it fine cuts of meat and send it to the best schools. i nurture my grudges’ brekker

alex🤝me🤝kaz
we may forget but we never forgive.

i’m weeping

alex being a grump at every moment is very relatable. but i suppose she has more right to be grumpy than i ever will

after the disappointment that was last week and finding out the release of this book was pushed back a week in aus (thanks to a very rude dymocks worker) i finally have my hands on this. mors vincit omnia.

that gargoyle is still my favourite in this whole damn series

to those who look upon the world and feel despair. i promise there is hope to find, yet. love to spend, yet. there just had to be.

gorgeous dedication

turner is such a dad 🥹

not sure about this one james

“even though I know she can be a lot for people.”

“a lot can be okay. it can be good. it’s better than nothing.”

amen sister

this is what i imagine the midnight library thought it was doing

i am lila. lila is me. i am also lila’s mum too btw.

nearly done and they’re finally all together 😮‍💨

this book is kinda depressing

“that tick tick tick isn’t a clock. it’s a bomb. there’s no countdown. it just goes off and everything changes.”

bars.

so this book is so long cause it’s apparently like a whole trilogy in one book or whatever the author said, tell me why she’s written two prequels 🧐 stand alone book my ass

though i am seven books behind schedule i have elected to read this behemoth

the way alex describes my boy tripp is actually diabolical

very interesting that they can derive pleasure from the smell of food just not the taste. would low key be excruciating to know you can’t eat but still long for the experience

“i’ve got it,” he said. “you always looked like you had trouble chasing you.”

alex jabbed the door-close button. “so?”

“now you look like it caught up.”

criminal thing to say

no matter how many times i read this the glow stick will never not make an impact.

i am so ready for this new book

wait cause is this gonna be the first ve schwab book i properly connect with?

‘They all have the look a guy gets when he’s too drunk to get it up,’ Alex had whispered.

‘Must you be so vulgar, Stern?’

‘Tell me I’m wrong, Darlington.’

‘I certainly wouldn’t know.’

ever the charmer 🥵

this is so juvenile help

oh great, now there’s an original song in here. jackson must know how much i just loveeee that.
