also the main character is so fucking based. I like her.

I like the paranoid feeling where she always suspects something is wrong but can't put her finger on it and so her imagination starts running. It's kind of feels similar to hypochondria.

the more i read of this the more it starts to click. His writing style feels a little flowery at times, but at others it gets very precise and evocative. I didn't expect to enjoy reading the essays, but they turned out to be very insightful on Ligotti's vision of horror and helped me better understand what he was going for in his stories. Locrian's Asylum was definitely one of my favorites so far.

i really hate how among all the slang he's saying "thou"

The main character makes me sick, it's hilarious. But seriously, sometimes while reading this I feel like I'm losing my fucking mind.

While there's sometimes things Sanderson does in his writing that annoy me a little, he certainly knows how to keep things suspenseful. I've been so burnt out lately and I think Sanderson stuff is really good for getting me to enjoy reading again

kinda entertaining, but i get the feeling that it could be made into a shitty horror movie that takes itself way too seriously. pfft, british people. I also find it kind of annoying that this guy feels the need to add a descriptor in front of almost every single god damn noun. "silvery rain" this, "raised a blonde eyebrow" that. Please stop.

while it's still sort of fun, something about the writing manages to piss me off sometimes. It gets very confusing who is talking or what they are talking about, the main character is annoying and I feel like he's acts pretty inconsistently. In fact the three mains are annoying most of the time

god damn i've been loving this so far. The way the world is set up, the prose, the ambiguity, the weird shit involving gods and stuff that probably will never get explained... I forgot how awesome Wolfe is

God damn the last story Lanterns of Romance was so good. Not as good as Blue Bamboo but man, easily my second favorite story in the book.
