Why is so little happening… like I guess there is stuff going on but everything I’ve read in the last 100 pages has kind of blurred together. It feels like there’s one version of myself reading this and another that’s not. Maybe it’s all the Shakespeare quotes.. every time I read them my mind goes completely blank

I don’t even remotely feel sorry for these characters, the whole lot of them could’ve tossed themselves into the water with their jackass friend and taken the whole friend group out and I would’ve been chill with it

Why is everyone that lives in this place romanticizing it so much? “It’s so great here!” And it’s freezing cold all year round, there’s literally no sun so some dude has to bring it over with his lantern, you’re basically guilted into marriage because it’ll help your family, and there’s some crusty ass infection that makes you an invalid before turning you to stone
