Woah…things got very spicy very quickly! Considering it’s my first time meeting these characters, I’m really unsure on Ellie and her whole perspective on life. Also not vibing with this relationship between a teacher and his ex-student…🥴

When I was younger, the only JW book I read was Cookie (and I loved it!!!). I had never happened upon the ‘Girls’ series. I thought that having pre-existing knowledge of the characters would help, but from reviews it seems that it may be a detriment as people feel let down by this book…I’m still trying to get into the book but I don’t think it’s for me. Lots of big chapters and no real storyline?

We are now jumping from country to country but the hitman is getting close. I’m also now feeling suspicious of the people that live in Steve’s village. Are they really who they say they are?

A slightly choppy read over the last few days so the ‘flow’ hasn’t really been there. However, I am finding it easier to go back to each time as the pace has really picked up. This unexpected trio is so entertaining and you can’t help but indulge!

The pace has definitely picked up now! I’ve managed to read nearly 100 pages just this morning because I can’t put it down…albeit I have had to due to needing to do work etc. Steve has now landed in America and has already become chummy with the security at border control. Francois Loubet is as fruitful as ever and tells us we already know him? Is it Sally Knox? Amy and Rosie are on the run and Jeff has gone…

The story is now starting to pick up. Connections are being made and the “villain” has introduced themselves. The last book I read was made up of short chapters so it’s taking me a while to get used to these “bigger” chapters (aka normal-sized chapters). Slowly but surely making my way through!

Just started and already looking forward to reading more. Amy seems tough and resilient (we love a strong, independent woman) and Steve reminds me of my own Dad so it’s safe to say I am invested. Can’t wait to see where the story goes now the characters have been introduced.

It was a bit of a slow burner for the first 100 pages or so, but the pace is starting to pick up now and we are getting more and more information with every page!

I finished the first book last month and was eager to start this one! Even after the first chapter, I was hooked!! I can tell it’s going to be quicker than the last one as we now already know the characters so it’ll get straight to the point (which I love). I’ve already gasped, laughed and she’d a tear and I’m only 49 pages in! Very excited for what’s to come.
