I felt like I deserved to enjoy the ending. It’s the last part of Hekate owning the fact that she does have family and accepting that people love her. She got the happy ending well earned and fought for. And for the first time, I read a fantasy where I am contemplating of happy tears.

I’m squealing, my mind, bending, exploding with joy and feelings. I knew or at least had hoped Thanatos would be a green flag, but just wasn’t expecting that much. Styx; with finally verbalizing that she has always seen Hekate as her own just melted me. After all the ruin she was exposed to, I hoped that was somewhat healing for her.

I am really rooting for Hekate because this lady deserves her flowers. After everything bloody Zeus threw her way, here she is still fighting for something, or even for just a sliver of something. Not gonna lie, didn’t expect to have a soft spot for Charon or Styx. Thanatos also um… lowkey expecting little to not be heartbroken later just in case.

This retailing is so easy to digest where the character feels like a breeze a fresh spring air. The origin story of this goddess gives a fresh perspective after having read a lot of Greek mythology prior to this. The writing style is so light and easy to breeze through, without taking away the substance and depth of the story.

Well that wrapped up so well! The wedding scene was exactly the relief I needed to see Bennett getting the “okay” she needed from the one person she dreaded to reconcile with. Henry seriously anymore green he gets, might as well turn Hulk. This man knows how to be a man, stamp of approval. Love that at the end, she got her happy ending and resolve within herself

Her whole self sabotaging is sadly true, and something that feels all too possible, which is heartbreaking; urging her not to be that way, but also knowing where she’s coming from. Knowing how it will deteriorate an already progressing journey. This book is a definite 101 on relationships, of any kind.

I have not gotten emotional from a story in a while and glad to confirm this has just done that. Bennett struggling to go out and back to living her life feels so real, and a journey that I could relate to. The tug of war of choosing joy, and believing in redemption for a second chance is not easy. Coming in with Henry; almost the personification of hope, whilst also showing human fragility which requires awareness.

Don’t we all deserve that happy ending 🙌🏽

And she is back home, damn that was a crazy drive around the neighborhood. I had to take breaks from the mental intensity every other chapters

To say Sophia went through hell is an understatement. With half of what she endured most people would have lost it and gave up on life, but maybe that’s the lesson she is meant to teach. Her persistent sense of self preservation and selfless service is truly unlike any person I know in real life. To finally see after 200 pages in that she might get a breather felt so good

It’s the first book since a long that is a narrated pov, and I really like feels very 360. This family is incredibly enticing, with all their different personalities opposing yet complementing each other. I can’t help but fall for the father daughter bond Sophia and Thomas have, it is quiet but firm. The environment moved me to almost the brink of tears, to feel that real was just great writing.

Having read the book and watched the film, revisiting moments that is being built up for the plot twist reveal gave me much more appreciation for the author’s well thought out mapping of the characters

That progressively got creepier. Althea’s side of the book gives me heebie-jeebies, to understand how the death really happened is keeping me on edge. Violet’s side is getting darker, also would this cousin be more involved?? Or just be a creeper after the pda? Kate now decided on keeping the baby, how’s she keeping herself afloat in the cottage all by her lonesome?

By this point in the book, Violet’s story has won my interest the most; not that Altha and Kate are uninteresting, they both have high stakes I mean, especially Kate considering in the modern world, what she’s going through is severely bad. It’s just, Violet has won my sympathy a lot quicker. The vibe has gone more eerie than I anticipated, a lot creepier when reading it at night.

Three women, all with attuned gifts of animal manipulation perhaps? I don’t know but it is creepy especially when reading Kate’s parts at this current stage. I seem to like Violet so far, but we shall see

I wanted more than that for the ending, but eh okay. I would like a novella on them just grown as individuals and what their life is like now together, maybe I would like that more. That move Bennett pulled at the end hit like Love Actually snowed in signs at your front door type a scene, loved it

The point where our grumpy female character opens up herself her new reality was a long time coming, I don’t know if I buy her whole spoiled brat switch up to independent wannabe; a lot of her defensive mechanisms also start to sound predictable and kinda boring at times. Bennett is a saving grace, but it’s the other characters I’m rooting for more really

Yea yea I get it now, these pop culture references are hitting the spot. Princess Switch, the romance trope scented candles, ugh; I want some myself. How he would go the lengths for her, truly the definition of “if he wanted to, he would”

OK, I get it the whole savior complex Bennett’s got going on, and I am not a damsel in distress coming from Kira; maybe a bit overdone at first, it’s somehow growing on me. They both got some work to do to convince me that I should root for this couple, and I am only halfway in

Exactly how I need to end my reading this year, what a breeze that I wanted and got. No notes, just comforted and feel tightly squeezed

The fact that the entire time Luke knows of Cat’s coping and defense mechanism, he gets her and doesn’t force her out of limits but just lets her and sticks around. I don’t know how that has ever been proven in real life, he’s been getting me emotional

The amount of effort he is putting for her, I CANNOT HANDLE IT! Green flag through and through, but it’s way too early and I don’t wanna get my hopes up this much. Everything about them both, and the sister and the ex-boyfriend (turning brother-in-law) I love 💕

A sunshine MMC meets grumpy FMC, set behind a small town during Christmas season and her ex being such a dream of a future brother in law, I am freaking sold. Such cozy feels and if not for the sleepy eyes I would like to continue on

My girl Katniss has gone through the wringer, she came out bloody wounded, strangled, physically, and emotionally, but the spite of she still coming through. I know what happens from here on out and I’m preparing myself emotionally and mentally, because I will surely have a meltdown soon

I HATE HAVING TO SEE PEETA GO THROUGH THAT! (Gale I do not approve you trying to swoop in uninvited, no thank you) I am just realizing how there so much Easter eggs throughout the trilogy leading up to the prequels. Extra scenes of Finnick are bonus points, I’m just waiting for the heartbreaking moment

At least that ending was a beautiful crying moment not a sad one, thank goodness! The Walkers are all together now and I’m loving the names Leni gave the kids, 💕. A beautifully lyrical, heart wrenching, gut stabbing, vein popping story of a family surviving, each other and life’s obstacles.

I NEED TO SCREAM AND LET IT ALL OUT! That was way too much! Cora as flawed as she may be, when it really comes down to it, she knows how to do things and when to. Whereas, ms impulsive Leni here still learnt no self control despite living through 25 years of survival. I can’t right now, I wanna finish but I need a quick break

Where is the petition to sign for Ernt’s death sentence?? I would like to sign immediately. I just also would like to give a massive shout out to Leni who at that age have to carry such a weight on her shoulders. At the end of the day, she has to save herself if her mother doesn’t want to, she still got to go.

I seriously want to smack some sense to Cora, maybe in addition whoop her ass to get her stuff together. I can’t relate to an abusive relationship, god forbid I ever do. She has a daughter whom she loves, she should be able to choose, right?

Oh my gosh! To say that I love Marge is an understatement, I need her to be a main character for the rest of the book. And not gonna lie, but I’m kinda into the idea of Mr Walker swooping in, ehh I don’t know. Leni gets to get a breather finally.
