Struggling reading this. It’s not holding my attention and it reads like a travel guide more than a novel

I cannot get into this book. Could be because I am not a 75 year-old woman. Could be because halfway through the book they started talking about aliens and portals which isn’t my genre of books.

It started off very slow and continued to drag on. I did like the magical part of the glowing water and had hoped for any more spiritual aspect.

I stopped halfway through and gave it away.
