The ship just vanished? I CANNOT read a whole book of Aelin being held captive and tortured. I CANNOT. 😭

I’m bawling. This book is so fucking good. This is the third time I’ve cried since page 1. Maas is so great at sealing deep emotion into every sentence, that you have no other choice but to feel exactly how the characters feel. Fucking brilliant.

Walls and masks and tectonic plates of emotion slide back into safe formations. Stand us on our feet. Tilt is away from each other once more.

Oh my god. Eye rolling so hard right now. The author is seriously saying that they’ve been friends for over 10 years, never felt an ounce of attraction that entire time but for some reason, on the same day, they start to feel attraction for each other? This excuse is dumb.

NOW Molly supposedly grabbed a dress of hers that was hanging on a chair and got dressed. Fast forward to Tensley's point of view and he's looking at her and noting her wearing the dress shirt from the night before and NOT the dress. Scenes like this happen often in these books. It's incredibly irritating.

So stupid. In one scene, Tensley and Molly are sitting on a couch and talking. Not at any point did Molly get up and leave the couch. But all of a sudden, she's walking back to join Tensley on the couch? In another, Tensley grabbed blankets to cover the two of them but then a few sentences later he's moving to cover them because the blankets are underneath Molly, when no one moved.

"She can blow me but she can't blow our cover." Really? This book is starting off lame. I've no idea how it's rated almost 4 stars...

Can something just go right for once?! God. This book is freakin pissing me OFF and I haven't even gotten to the part where someone dies yet. But it's so good. So. Effing. Good.

First, besides all of the lip biting, I am really enjoying this story. However, the entire time I've been reading I've felt a sense of foreboding. I have a feeling something horrible is going to happen and any good feelings I had towards this story will turn to loathing.

Perhaps I spoke too soon.

Magnus and Cleo are so frustrating. When they(and they had better!) get together, it better be described to epic proportions! Like, earth shattering, butterflies in your belly, hot passionate aggression! I will not accept anything less!

Wait. What? Now she's blaming the murders on him? To quote Felix, who said it so well what a "soulless bitch!"

She just murdered her entire family(and for reasons you know nothing about) and you still want to jump her bones? Nasty.

I find myself getting extremely....bored with Jonas' chapters.

This story is wrapped in such a beautiful book. I love the purple coloring of the hardcover and the torn, uneven edges of every leaf.

Oh. My. Word. I could just strangle her! She is wasting words!!! *goes and sobs*

"Was that you, Pooky Bear?" Omg, I'm dying of laughter.

I was so very upset once I realized that, since Raffe's point of view is not included in this series, that I would be without his presence for a majority of this book. You can imagine my utter joy while reading chapter 16! Oh please oh please, let there be more "flashbacks" pleaseeee.

Too many pointless filler descriptions. They are making the story drag on. And currently, I am so irritated with how the author is handling Bish and Jens side story, how the main characters are handling it, how Maggie can't tell her best friend Beck about anything but it so willing to tell AND show a complete stranger everything she can do.

Ive been skimming this entire book and the only reason I'm continuing this series is because I'm curious about how the story in going to play out. There is a lot of minor things that are irritating me to distraction. There are far too many "sorry", "I'm sorry", "I'm so, so sorry's." Too many "gonnas."

At this point I'm just going to skim pages until the end.

The author is telling me that Echo is mad & raging but it just doesn't feel honest. I'll continue reading. Maybe things will turn around.
