Far more archival images than I bargained for

Finished all the words and now get to look at pretty archival images :). Very cool to see places I have been to in Amsterdam when they were occupied by protestors in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Almost makes up for the lack of rigour in the text proper.

Y'know. This one might have been able to stay on the shelf. What's fun about Virginia Woolf's writing is that she doesn't brag about all its affordances... Morton (it is most certainly them, not Boyer, speaking here) has been known to be a kind of smarmy, gratuitous, self-congratulatory author, but this kind of exceeds anything else I've read by a wide margin.
Interesting concepts within, sad this is their deployment

Can't (or maybe can) believe I'm saying this but Baudrillard (and Fisher after him) was totally off mark about this book... just couldn't get that one layer of embedded narration further out.
