reread.

sooo… i really thought i’d be enjoying this a lot more. i love ghost / haunted house stories. it’s similar to “the house next door” which i really enjoyed, but it’s falling way short for me. still nearly half to go, so hopefully it’ll improve.

library book challenge - book with animal(s) on the cover

so far, this book is fantastic! it's a post-apocalyptic adventure story that's kind of like peter heller's the dogstars, only set on an island and the ocean, with a teen instead of a middle aged man. how did i not know about this book before? i'm breezing through it and ignoring the other books in my currently reading pile.

lord of the flies set in a concrete jungle

This is my "written the year of my birth" pick for my library's 52 book challenge.

this is the historical fiction pick for my library's reading challenge. I liked the cover. turns out, it is written entirely through poems. it is a young lady's account of her family's journey to cali. her family has just begun travelling with the donner party. dun dun DUN!

there’s some funny and over the top stuff in here! i needed some humor after the joe r. lansdale book of gloom i just finished...

Really enjoying this read! I was so mad at myself last night for forgetting my book at work. I WILL finish it tonight! This is the second book I've read by Christopher Swann and I am definitely a fan.

this is my beach read :)

this is my secret santa book pick from Julia :)

this reads like a dream i haven’t yet had.

this is my “blind date with a book” from the library.
