This was a slog to get through. The idea of the book was a good one but the characters lacked dimension. The author didn’t do a good job of making me want to know who murdered Wickham or care for the characters at all. Skip this one.

I really wanted to like this book. And I did…somewhat. Tucci’s passion was evident on the page and as an Italian-Canadian, it was wonderful to see parallel experiences in our lives. His passion also reignited joy in my own cooking, as I cooked a few long forgotten family recipes.
