At first I felt like it was kind of a drag tbh It wasn't shaking me in my boots like I wanted. I didn't even get scared to turn the lights off when I put Paul down for his nap. BUT more characters are being introduced and things are starting to heat up for sure. I did just check behind the couch while typing this to make sure nothing was there

I enjoyed it! It was a lot simpler than a lot of his books. Really just a story. But a good story! Reflective is a better word maybe to articulate my thoughts. It is not as -reflective- as many of his novels but also its science fiction so maybe not even fair to compare. Anyway……. It was entertaining enough but alas I’d like to feel the rush of reading island of the world for the first
time again
