The timeline was a bit confusing and it took me a minute to want to pick it up after I had started but now I’m on the last 100 pages and don’t want it to end.

A bleak but immersive little novella filled with musings about death, love and loneliness.

Some of the references are a little over my head but I really want to like it because Maggie is so cool. Also reading Harry’s memoir @ the same time which is an interesting parallel to Argonauts

Ugh more disturbing than I had even imagined. The only benefit I see regarding AI and sexuality is that all of these violent and depraved incels might recede from society to tend to their little fuck dolls

I actually found the more non-fiction/research-driven part of this more interesting than the personal insights. It felt like Melissa drew on her previous books a lot and having read them all, it felt a bit repetitive but I did enjoy reading it

Sonny is an absolute bitch but I loved being immersed in Cher’s world

quite literally the antidote I needed rn. What a good distraction from the shit show world out there

Re-reading and it’s even better the second time around. The internet is not a fan of this one but it’s marvelous and everyone is mistaken

So coyly funny, eerie, and brilliant. Jelinek’s mind is a place in which I’d like to live

Can’t put it down. I’m not even sure I’m enjoying it but I’m hooked

I find Sheila Heti’s writing so boring and I just can’t for the life of me connect with her writing. Not 4 me

4.5. I adore Moshe and as someone who is also in recovery, I found this so close to home. Moshe is so intelligent, sharp, and witty. This isn’t going to be for everyone but if you listen to the Endless Honeymoon podcast or know anything about Moshe’s insane past, I’d give this a read. Tears were shed, laughs were had.
