So currently the main character Early is arguing that Dash's disappearance. (Her Father) was involved with some of his coworkers in the past, and what Early believes is that the coworkers did something to her father for him to disappear. She antagonizes and shows how they move and talk to show they're the bad people.

The ending is that they eventually get out of the house, no one was killed in the house. And the protagonists of the novel are more connected to each other now.

I noticed that the people are bonding. Even after they have all their secrets revealed and with one being gay for another. They are ''smiling'' the book said, even though they're sworn, enemies. Overall the book has a twist to it when they begin to bond.

I'm basically halfway through my book and this is the longest book, I've read this semester. I'm really enjoying it so far because I can see the character more in-depth, likesome of them having affairs. I think I could finish this book by finals at least with how much fun I'm having reading it

In my book, it is now more character ve supernatural and character vs self. Because the 5 protagonists of this book are trying to survive through monsters in the haunted house that are trying to kill them. But the more monsters they have to go through they start to question what they think about the other protagonists identity.

So this is my 3rd book for this semester, and I have 244 pages left to read for this. My plan is to finish 2 chapters per day because normally there are between 5-10 pages per chapter.

I've read: Phantoms in the snow and The Boy who Dared. Both are WW2 historical fiction this semester

Towards the ending. The book used the word medical a lot. This would imply that Noah's gonna become a doctor after taking the hill from the Germans. And James Shelly literally said that Noah would become a doctor instead of a soldier for the remainder of the war.

A new motif in this book is pain/suffering. Noah's in war now and now one of his friends got Kia. There were mainly independent clauses and barely any dependent clauses in the reading.

''Noah blinked with suprise at the truth of Daniel's observation.'' Noah is the one that hates Daniel the most in the camp. But even if so Daniel was honest with Noah about their struggles together. It kinda just shows that like even though you may not like this person they can be honest and truthful with you. Thats what struck me in this chapter

So another motif that I found while reading. Was identity in this book, I've already established that courage is one of the motifs in this book. But not it seems like courage is Noah's identity in this book. As he's doing all these crazy training activities with bullets being fired at him he gets more and more courageous and less and less fearful of these things. His character/identity is changing

So far the motif of this book is perseverance. This 15-year-old Noah basically is thrown into military training and has to learn how to ski. Even though he's from Texas. And the journey of him having thoughts about quitting and still basically putting his body in harm's way. He has nowhere to go so he's still going through the training even if it's painful

The way that my book developed courage. It was developed by showing Helmuth going against the majority of the people in Nazi Germany. He was one of the few ones speaking out. And would do things outlawed by the government to rebel. Knowing full well that it could get him in prison or sentenced to the death penalty. Once he got caught he still rebelled against Nazi Germany through a final statement. Showing courage

Tyler Wang is finished with The Boy Who Dared
So the motif in this book would be courage. After Helmuth is preparing for his revolution, He's out by the Gestapo, They interrogate him, kick him, Basically evil things. And then he's sentenced to death. This shouldn't really happen because he's only 16 in this story, In a lot of ways Helmuth and Junior's experiences are somewhat similar even if they're different.

The thing that keeps coming up is a revolution, I'm wondering how Helmuth's plan will work and won't be found out by the Gestapo, The pattern reveals that it's setting up for a revolution to change the nazi party in Germany. This is impactful because this is basically the peak of this book, The main point of what this will be about

Helmuth now is a young adult that is a lot more critical of what he thinks about the Nazis and Hitler, This is starting in 1941 and a war has already happened where another war is looming against the soviets. One thing that I noticed is that every time someone brings up the Nazi's Helmuth is irritated by them and he's basically irritated every day because he only sees Nazi propaganda

Helmuth is now hesitating. To follow the Nazi party, And now he's getting really affected by it. The type of media he sees have now only been German and no other countries

I wonder how would he think after Germany goes to war?
