I was 85% through this relatively short book and I still good not finish it. The character motivations are vague at best and clearly trying to convince you there’s some big secret reason to keep reading (there’s not) and the writing is abysmal.

I am so obsessed with this book. It is amazing and I’m devouring it but I’m also really upset about the series ending so I don’t know if I can finish it? But obviously I will. Too quickly.

She uses the word “balk” far too often.

Reading this book is simultaneously horrific and comforting. Not enjoying being perceived to this extent, but simultaneously overjoyed that I can hand a book to my husband instead of spending another 10 years painfully and inadequately articulating it all while he questions “why?” With skepticism

I’m on page 5 and already crying??!? And highlighting. A lot of highlighting. I’ve never read anything that made me immediately feel so seen and simultaneously so sad that I haven’t read it sooner to realize how not alone I am.
