An amazing novel. The balance of Magic and Science creates an amazing texture to this book. Excited to finish it.

The plot is building a lot, the characters have their personalities built, and it is a lot easier to follow the book now. Steven and Lori are trying to learn more to catch Adam Caine, and Caine is following Penelope's instructions to avoid eternal entombment.

The plot of the story is kicking into place, and the gore of the blood is making me queasy and on the edge of my seat for more. I was skeptical about the quality of this book going int it, but once the plot starts thickening as it has done now, I finally feel invested. Excited to read more!

This book introduces me to a whole world of vampires that I was not interested in before. The author's use of imagery draws me to the plot, even though it is not super interesting to me yet. I am excited to get more into this book.

A true classic. I love this book because of the confidence Ms. Collins showed when writing this. Her use of vocabulary and flow of the story really sets this apart.

Boring start, but once the main plot gets going the book has good flow. This book is different than the average dystopian novel because it is not as action-packed as some of those other novels would be.
