Okay middle of the night thought. But do you ever look at a book you just did not like and then try to figure out how it has such a high rating? Are people that nice while rating? How does a book with over 150,000 reviews only have less than 1,000 one star reviews?! The math isn’t mathing

I’ve given in and started reading this. Like it and find it interesting so far. Except for I don’t really care for the great grandmas flashbacks. It makes it too random. Like you and your great grandma had stalkers you fall for? Honey. No.

Alrightyyy then. We’ve already got the facts wrong about the sport of choice. Milwaukee mavericks? Or are we just making up teams? Because we don’t have mavericks and we don’t have a major nhl team- only the Admirals. Fun to watch but not taken seriously. This was just a quick way to irritate Wisconsin- we take our sports as serious as our alcohol

Absolutely nothing interesting has happened yet and this audiobook narrator sounds nasally 😫 maybe I’ll read the physical copy one day but probably not.

And another one for books I’ll never finish. Like-being a coroner is a hard and respected job. Especially one in a police department. I’ve heard enough true crime to know cops depend on them. They’re not going to shun her. Just too unbelievably for me. Plus mcs were a bit on my nerves in what I read.

I’m a good chunk into this book and not understanding what the hoopla is all about. Maybe I’ll finish it one day- probably not. Mc just seems so jaded in an annoying poor me type of way. Instead of distancing himself from his bio dad.

My biggest pet peeve is when authors write about somewhere they’ve never been. Milwaukee doesn’t just have a carousel and rides unless it’s state fair or summer fest.
And there’s really not a bunch of tourist things to do besides food 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ugh. Okay. I get the low key shady and weird ivf place is supposed to make the story funny but it’s annoying and childish. I couldn’t imagine anyone going to a place where another couple harasses them whenever they’re there.

Ew. I hate this mom. Love the book. Hate the mom so much.

Someone’s never been to prison or talked to an inmate. 🙄 research goes a while and shows in writing. Things like this annoy me.
