Okay, im intrigued! Im a little confused at the moment as the MC transitions into book (as mentioned in the summary), so im a little concerned by that. But I hear its a good book, and I absolutely love the premise!

Reallllyyyyy getting into this

Second book i started reading this month that intrigued me from the very start. It's about time I picked up a Samantha Shannon novel!

This a reread and one of my fave novels. The writing style is part of what captivated me, and I’m not getting the same effect with the audiobooks unfortunately. This reread is a bit slower for me, as if I’m trudging along. I want to put it down but I feel like I’d be doing it an injustice. It could just be my mood as well. The narration is amazing.

Yea...knew that about the nightmare less than 10% into the book...I feel like a lot of this book is us knowing things and waiting for Elspeth to figure it out!

I am not a big romantasy reader and I am especially suspicious of BookTok phenomenons/sensations…but so far I am loving the well-written banter and sarcasm in the dialogue. I am listening to the audiobook and I was so very pleasantly surprised that the narration was done in a cast format/both readers according to who is speaking, like a play. A dual performance— love it. Let’s see how the rest goes.

Best book I've read in years and I'm only halfway through. But, also, I'm so terrified to finish this because I love all of the protagonists and I'm so absolutely devastated knowing what is coming...

Please is anyone else reading this? I need someone to freak out with!
