It's almost 1 am and there isn't a sequel yet to read of this book. I am desperately trying to convince myself to sleep and not keep reading. I have so many thoughts and I'm sure I will be highly critical of some parts of this book, but it's like a tv show you can't look away from. Give me gladiator but maybe a love triangle HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GO TO BED.

Manson, Manson, Manson. Having that be the intro cult is perfect. My true crime obsession means I didn't learn anything particularly new but so far loving this style and easy flow of story telling

Figured I'd update all the books I've started reading, having to take breaks because toddler mom life makes reading in depth description of the IRA and Irish conflict hard 😂

Interesting content, not sure how I feel about the book however.

This book does not need to be 700 pages long. The level of world building and plot do not equal 700 pages. It started so strong but I am STRUGGLING right now.

Yelling at myself to be a grown adult and go to sleep. I don't have to read a 400+ page book in one sitting. I can enjoy it a little at a time right!?! Ugh definitely don't want to put it down though. Nice change of pace!

Eh. I dnfd. I really liked this author in another book but this just dragged for me and I couldn't keep reading.

May have to take a break from it, the concept is intriguing but it has started to drag on a little with lack of actual dialogue and movement.

Alright 61 percent finished and realizing that it is just this authors writing style and it's starting to become tedious....

Jesus, what an information dump. I feel the migraine already. Whereas I absolutely love fantasy and getting into make believe worlds, this book just drops it super heavy for the first half....

Honestly not sure I'll get through this one. I love this author and seeing her branch out is great, but I'm half way through thinking this book needed to be around 250 pages shorter.....
