I was rewatching the hunger games and I realize the real theme of the hunger games actually relates to social issues like the ones discussed in this book. It talks about being turned into someone you are not under forced circumstances (how you have grown up— fight to survive and that is their mentality)

Love the escape I can have with this story, just wish it was dual pov so we can read how Alex is feeling throughout all this and also not a fan of friends to lovers because eveytime poppy is hurt I feel it too…

Just finished the first chapter and I’m already feeling sad :(

I don’t really remember wht pg I was on but it is rlly unique and has different type of stories combinded within the different characters which i like. Just some parts are slow paced to me esp to setup certain parts while I can sense the action parts coming, I still have many pages to get there and it makes me read slower if that makes sense

Idk my exact pg number atm but this book is a good comforting, relatable book esp if u like books. Its cozy, cute and unique just more of a book you read for comfort than a quick getaway type of book. Makes me wish I could visit the bookshop in real life

I used to like Achilles because he was popular and gifted, mostly by the way Patroclus describes him which would make sense, since they are lovers. I've finally been introduced to Beiscis something like that and I know her from searching Achilles up. Her and Patroclus' relationship and the way it started <33. I realized that Patroclus is like an angel.

So far, not too bad for a school book leaning on 3 stars--
