Are the Dursley’s getting a check or something? Bc I can’t fathom why they continue to house a child they literally hate. Dumbledore is a villain for placing Harry in their care.

I realize I haven’t seen his hair in moonlight before. It’s alluring and makes every sharp feature on his cheeks and nose more lovely. The moon is deceitful in the way it makes him look harmless.

You can just go ahead and say you love him 😂 The FMC waxes poetic about how attractive she finds the MMC every other page or so. I’m not mad, I just think it’s hilarious.

My first impression of Snape is that he doesn’t hate Harry, he’s just disappointed in his lack of preparedness for Hogwarts (and magic in general).

It was hard to question what kept you alive, even if it did terrible things with the life it gave you.

Dumbledor placing Harry with people who hate him to prevent his ego from growing is certainly a choice….

I read because sometimes the confines of this world seek to strangle me, and the words grant me a haven.

Yeah, so this book actually got better after they banged which unfortunately doesn’t happen til about 63% of the book. If the author had written these characters the way she wrote them in the last half of the book I might’ve actually liked it.

Can they just bang already? This constant bickering back and forth is not funny, clever, or witty. It’s just poor writing disguised as “tension” and I’m over it. Every time Saeris opens her mouth I just think to myself please close it. If self flagellation was a fictional character, it would be her.

I hate the two main characters so far. They bicker so much that it gave me a headache while listening to this in the car. I’ll finish this book but it might cost me my sanity by the time I done.
