Goodness me, on the edge of my seat now constantly!

There is not a single likeable character in this book. Also I have a nagging feeling the narration of the Audible book makes it good enough to continue as I am not sure I’d finish it had I bought the written version only.

Hilarious and dark. The main character reminds me of Courtney from the film American Psycho, being knocked out on barbiturates 24/7. Love how this writer is unafraid to write repulsive female characters but with depth and an understanding why they are like that.

Welp, this is not a vegan cook book! Joke aside, I’ve rarely seen such an insensitive, revolting, and unlikable character as Mr Cheong. As I understand from the blurb there should be some sensuality in this novel, but so far it’s been some causal spousal rape and lots of abuse of the heroine of the story. The whole story is very uncomfortable writer is clearly talented in creating atmosphere.
