i‘m skimming atp idk what to make of it its like they‘re planning but then change the way of executing midway and it makes no sense in fact its confusing me, i can’t keep up

so much crazy stuff happening
it all comes together, really every little thing
and the title makes so much more sense now, the farther one gets

to me this feels like that sort of book you only pick up once and read very carefully
as you will never reread it again

this has been so long i forgot how much this book means to me how much i feel represented in it
now 3 years later rereading it with a different mindset and knowing about that little word reveal i‘ve been paying more attention to kai’s observations, actions and ofc max
sure i loved him before but now ohmydays
i can‘t explain it

i like the pacing every other page there’s some sort of drama and i‘m here for it

what i‘m not here for is hunts unnecessary emotional drama and his need to compare bryce and shahar
just bro get over it now

also did not feel the ✨fyi y‘all are fated mates✨ moment bfr that was so anticlimactic

also can’t stand bryce she’s cool ngl but it’s always HER HER HER w/o even seeking attention

ummm so what is going on every other page sm drama and i‘m living for ittttt

this is much better than the first book
however i couldve lived without the ithanlovesbryce arch it was absolutely unnecessary and yes she is so goodlooking everybody in the book lusts after her but what abt her personality? or why is connor suddenly downtalked? did it have to be the only friend she had left from the pack?
why just why…

can‘t believe how easily i forgot half the resolution of the previous book 💀

but now onto my theories
starting w ketos (why does he have his own pov now? hm…) i think he has had/wants to have longterm legs or at least not be bound to water

on another note (spoiler!) the moment lidia was mentioned?? and hypaxia said she was there bc of her…so the hind owns that place? truth tho?

it’s all over the place and some things don’t add up but ig some of it is tied to the other worlds
just enjoying the ride now 🤷‍♀️

this book is so weird
i like it i‘m flying thru the pages
but i feel like the plot takes up sm space i can’t really tell what personalities the characters have (especially hunt) it makes it a little flat for me sadly
and then the whole time ppl lusting after brice okay i get she’s attractive but at one point its repetitive
or the random talks abt the traumatic past ending in a sexual tone? the big gun? huhh ??

i learn sm thru reading this and every time i feel
that elizabeth bennet and i are very similar
actually i find a lot of similarities w ppl around me and the characters

darcy is so admirable too
also i‘m reading a diff version which is not 100% accurate but nvm lol

idk why its taking me so long it’s actually plotwise quite good
i think it might be the writing
and also the characters being a little too weird and slightly overdramatic at times

rosa is a very interesting character i can’t even tell who she really is and ig that’s the point?
james is cool but at times it was giving kenji x aaron mashup and that makes sense but is also very weird
oh and don’t forget the romance that went wild ltr the last 3 pages out of thin air? i don’t get it

Omg soooo many plottwists and it’s so so good maybe by far one of my favorites and juliette got finally a great personality

so crazy how i did suspect castle and delalieu but i never ever considered he had seen it all and not even dropped a hint at aaron

love love how he proposed to her in such a simple but good way totally their style (ella is 17-18 tho, he‘s 20 like bro 🤨 try living) all the devolpment>>

surprisingly i like heartbroken-shaved-her-hair-on-a-drunken-whim juliette much much more than her false confidence „i‘m not like my past anymore“ (yet behaves exactly like that minus the scaredy shy expressions and instead a tad bit more outgoing) self
it was something she needed badly
to find herself on her own without the whole „i need to be loved/ i like being in love(d)“ issues

nothing is what it seems
and i love all characters so much this kinda reminds me of the secret history narrator wise 🤍
also how deep this is and how it’s dealing with the philosophical thoughts of what’s real and what is not, who should be saved, what is morally right, whats evil,… and so on
ugh in love and didn’t see plottwists coming at all

has me cackling at every other page and the musical theme got me

might be the first book in ages where i can’t tell how it’s going to end

props to it being the right amount of deep & emotional without loosing its lighthearted energy and being at times just silly and goofy in a good way


it has everything there is and the isekai historical fantasy theme is perfect as i‘m a huge manwha fan

this is criminally underrated
i never even knew the auther had worked w THE cassie clare
story started so flowery it was giving dark fairytale
+ the lore runs SO DEEP now i get why the back of my book has like 6 blank pages ofc i gotta jot down so much
it’s so so good like the only thing i‘d say is a bit odd is how obviously rae isn’t rahela and no one says it out loud
+ reading all the intrusive thoughts XD

this is so terrible i‘m considering dropping it 50 pages before it ends

i was dead tired while reading it so i hope i‘m not mixing things up
but dang that was bloody and now i want to know how they’re going to get away from the hollow boys…

i might have to thank the mosquitoes for keeping me awake…i read over half the book till 4am (who cares abt sleep right?) gotta say this is MUCH BETTER than the first book though the story contradicts itself a lotttt and there are plotholes like crazy
(for example addie crying over ending ppls life‘s but wb phoebe? never mentioned again after that night very random hm)

okay seriously adeline is not a manipulator at all
in fact ppl around her manipulate her she knows and falls for it
i mean the mark dude?? and zade rescuing kids but then being the worst nightmare to her is so contradicting and he’s fine w that but not the children??? it’s all so painfully obvious a lot is told and i‘m more invested in daya and her great granny‘s story than the actual plot

i‘m not sure what it is maybe my memories are terrible but is this series getting worse? writing wise?
wasn‘t a big fan of play along bc kennedy‘s personality and arc felt soooo forced
and here we have a lot of tell and a big lack of show
also the flashbacks make zero sense why do i need to know abt her bday + wishes?? there better be a good reason :///

so far i like the characters
briar is really sweet but girl you do contradict yourself a few times too often
also her reactions are somewhat ridiculous in some situations but i get it it’s kinda…interesting?
alistair…well he seems very issued, i don’t like him so much lets see how it goes for now
(also lyra and rook are sooo interesting to me)
