Things are heating up. I really appreciate the brief internal conflicts of each of our protagonists and their compatriots. However, it read a little same-y for a while there. Hopefully, that will be it for the rest of this book!

This novel is paced so strangely. Chapters are broken into vignettes of planning and plodding from all sides of a techno-future WW3, and truly washes over your eyes, and then suddenly there is some of the most grotesque images of death and gore paired either painful white saviors.

Submarine warfare is so scary.
