I'm still enjoying the book. The way that Betsy's friends talk to her about Jolene I find hard to believe. I was a military child around the same time of what the book is portraying and had a totally different experience. Obviously this is fiction but it's still frustrating to read this point of view.

Micheal is extremely frustrating and annoying. It makes me mad the lack of support he has for his own wife.
