I highly disagree with Harlow decision to let her son stay for his senior year. She should have had him go home with his family and spend a gap year with her instead. Sure he’s 18 and technically an adult but which of us at 18 was really adult enough to make those kinds of decisions. And the whole tossing Grady to the side. Ugh. I wanna slap some reality into Harlow

Doing a reread. Do we think RiverFog was Kaden who grew up in the original narrative?

6 hours left in the book and here comes cringe Loren. Ugh. I know she’s the FML but she’s insufferable. And I hate her lol

So far my favorite of the series. Probably because there is less cringy Loren in it. And more of my favorite side characters

Just when I thought I couldn’t hate Loren more, she does something that makes it possible. She’s been a meek pathetic girl and doesn’t find her voice or backbone UNTIL she has a boyfriend. She’s needs a man to feel important.

I hate Loren. She’s a horrible FML. 🤦🏻‍♀️ forcing myself to finish this book since I stupidly bought all 4 in the series before reading the first book and realized how much I freaking hate it.

I feel like the author took A LOT of themes from TOG and Crescent City. There is this books version of a stygian spider, the street name jubilee like jelly jubilee. But as usual SJM is a master at her craft while this book feels like homework trying to force myself to finish it.

At this point I’m seriously debating skipping parts of Loren’s POV. All she does is self doubt, cry, whimper and be overall pathetic . Shes the exact kind of person so far that I despise.

I’m on chapter 17 right now but I seriously hope the book gets better soon seeing that I’ve purchased the 4 books in the series that are available. I love the ML but the FML Loren is such a meek coward. I hate her. It gives women a bad reputation. I’m hoping she will have a character arc soon and become a badass otherwise I’ll be deeply disappointed

I’ve been lonely too but I have never understood people like the FML. Those who hide away and are so timid are strange creatures to me.

I love this book so far. What makes me love it even more is the main character is from Texas and loved HEB just as much as a true Texan would. Love love it.

So far the FML is annoying the hell out of me.

It’s only my love for Wilder, Kipp and Cal that I continue the series. I seriously just want someone to bitch slap Thea or shake her till she can’t take it anymore.

Thea still irritates the hell out of me. It’s obvious that Wilder loved her and although it’s unbeknownst to me at this time I just know he has his reasons for doing whatever he did.

I know, I know. I shouldn’t compare but since I loved TOG beyond comprehension I inevitably compare all FML against Aelin. So I always find myself sort of hating the FML of other books. They irritated the hell out of me. I am feeling that way about Thea. She’s so gods damned hot headed and beyond selfish. So I sort of hate her right now.

It’s official. I hate aurora. She is ruining the book.

I love Blake. But still can’t stand Aurora. She irritates the hell out of me and is so freaking stupid. From book 1 there’s stuff that’s obvious and yet she’s willfully ignorant to it all.

I get it’s important for the story but I’m upset that Bryce stole that star power left in the prison. It was left for Rhys and HIS people. Not Bryce who was an ancestor of two monsters. I kind of wish they would have punished Bryce more than she is.

As a Texan born and raised myself who doesn’t have a cowboy fantasy but the calling her ‘honey’ while messing around is cringy. Lol

Only in chapter 2 and I already hate Molly. Spoiled bitch if I ever met one.

This book does a wonderful job of showing the cruelty and dangers of religion.

The book has been splendid so far but it just bothers me when pious men preach their BS. Its necessary for the story and I knew about it going in but my skin still prickles

So many books about broken women and I can’t help but compare them to my girl Aelin. And in that way no one ever compares. And I’m always somewhat disappointed

Hilda’s obsession with the director position and Myra is just so painful to read. I just want to slap some sense into her

These were told to be a cozy fantasy but I highly disagree. They’re dark and the ML is such a puss. Seriously. Man the F up dude. I hate winey men who think the world owes them something. Boo-hoo
