The relationship between Alix and Briar, and Emira and Briar seems to me like an updated version of the relationships between Aibileen, Elizabeth and Mae Mobley in The Help

Honestly I did see that one coming but when a story is this well written spoilers don't really matter.

Some reviews complain the worldbuilding doesn't include backstory to a microscopic level - guys that is what fanfiction is for!!

I am enjoying the lighter hand. I don't enjoy description-heavy prose that leaves little to my imagination.
I have no problem following the story with the information I have been given and so far the world has been consistent to its own logic.

Only just started this but so far I am enjoying the writing style.

After enjoying Revenged Love I just had to.

This is a reread but I am even more intrigued and enchanted than the first time around.

I do live books set in this time period

I love the way cheese is worked into every scenario!

I love this book the first time.
I am loving it even more on the reread and feel I am getting even more out of it.
I love the writing style and the storytelling so much it feels like a third of my kindle text is highlighted.
