I have many problems with this book and its structure, but it sure is juicy

I’m only reading this because I heard it’s a ripoff from the secret history and I wanna feel what I felt while reading that book again 💔

‘Something light and easy to read in between study sessions’ I was thinking. Unfortunately, this is the kind of book I really really really want to read in one sitting. Short chapters, teenage writing, drama and an older guy? Frothing at the mouth. Damn me for procrastinating all year. Now I gotta study till August.

I feel like I haven’t read in MONTHS why am I being separated from the light of my life fire of my soul AAA even a page with my coffee in the morning makes me feel guilty for not working

Someone said “If you have a hard time getting through volume one, keep going it’s so worth it”. And it’s the juiciest drama ever. If volume one is ‘boring’ I am not ready for volume two.

Chapter IV is deadass a documented version of how I was moving in year 10-11 of highschool.

I’m totally invested. I love how the two characters (R.Walton and Victor Frankenstein) express so much of their emotions. Clearly written by a woman lol.

I read this once, long ago, in fucking Dutch. Now that I read it in English I ONCE AGAIN find out I have read the simplified translation of the text, meant for high schoolers . Do you know how many books I think I’ve read? Incidents such as Lorna Doone, Alice in wonderland and even Les Miserables lmao. Anyway, I am glad to be able to read it now. A few years ago, this would’ve been way too advanced English for me

Oh my fucking god this is so sad wtf

Imagine Joachim Trier + Pablo Larraín + Paulo Sorrentino colab for this book but make them all women. I’m actually mostly hating on Sorrentino. I like his vision, not his gaze.

There is something romantic about running away from your problems the way she does

So she wears this hat right? “Trilby hat”. I just pictured something like a newsboy cap it looked cute. After reading so insanely much about this hat, I decided to look it up. I wish I didn’t lmao. Holy millennial, dude wth 😭

iPhones, WhatsApp, the pandemic!? Can’t let this go. Also, no quotation marks UGH. still loving the vibes so far.

I have never read a book set in such a recent moment in time. The pandemic!? This feels like some kind of mind fuck

Sobbing

“My little teenage body” I know what you are. Obviously. But I know what you are

So far, fun but extremely insufferable at the same time. I’m so emo cut my life in two pieces black hair RAAAHH 🖤🤘⛓️🥀🔪🔪🔪

Oh my god this is so good I’m deeply in love with it it’s just as good as the movie
