How do I go on when I am already teary-eyed by the end of part one?

Seriously, is an author supposed to draw tears from the reader in the acknowledgments?! I haven't even hit page one, yet and I already need tissues. What is this madness???!!!

My heart is hurting for Xcor.

So.... I actually love the word precious. However, for other media-related reasons, I can no longer bear to hear someone called "Precious". It happens in this book frequently. Every time Hudson calls Alayna, Precious, in my mind, I have to amend it "Precious One". I had to get that off my chest. That is all

wow. leah raeder is a master of evocative description. she has arranged her words beautifully.
