I want this to be light and carefree and am enjoying the premise, but the writing is so clunky in some spots :\

Ok feared I was being too critical of my other current read so said lemme just start this one to see what we’re working with …. Now THIS is how you write a first < 100 pages wowow I’m hooked

I’m going to push through this one in the hopes it goes somewhere new, but I’m starting to think maybe Freida doesn’t do it for me.

I’m trying to give it a fair shot, but 31% into this book and I don’t feel hooked, I don’t feel curious, I don’t feel excited… I feel like I’m reading a carbon copy of a formula I’ve already read but with the details switched up

I appreciate the sentiment but…. I’m kinda bored

I was enjoying this the first couple days, but I put it down and haven’t felt excited to pick it back up? It’s not bad! Just…boring? For now?

I hope something comes to gobsmack me? Some twist? Bc so far….it feels very on par for similar types of books I’ve read, which is fine, just a little disappointing

Somehow I already tore through half of this one?

My first Elin book, and I am loving it! I thought the story was starting out slowly, but then I was hooked into this family’s story without even realizing it. A great read to kick off the summer book season!

I last read this sometime in high school and I enjoyed it then but omg….loving it just as much, maybe more, now

I could do without the misogyny but at the same time it’s everything I expected it to be

I got on a roll with this book and tore through half of it in like 2-3 days…..then miss girl went and killed herself FOR WHAT and it pissed me off and I haven’t touched it in 2 weeks. I’m gonna try to get back into it but idk, this may end up a DNF for me
