For an author whose identity sits outside of the gender binary, their distinctions between binary genders are surprisingly cis- and hetero-normative? Like, assigning certain hobbies and interests as either “for men” or “for women”, and then using those unfounded distinctions as the foundation of your explanation of your gender nonconformity is … a choice, I guess?
