I started listening to the audio book on Spotify narrated by Robert Petkoff. I’m reminded of Zadie Smith’s “White Teeth” and Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman.” So poignant for the 2020s! Despite its thought provoking nature, the novel is an easy read (listen) so far.

Interesting concept so far but rather repetitive writing that makes the plot progression feel really slow. Flowery and pretty but redundant.

I’m so frustrated with how much is unsaid and not fully realized between Marianne and Connell. If they could be direct and honest with themselves and each other, they would see how POINTLESS their relationship’s strife and suffering are. (Side note: Really engaging writing so far and I already know this is a story that will stick with me for a while)

The most relatable and adoring and wholesome yet heartbreaking love story I have ever read… and I’m only halfway through
