pov you thought it would be a short and sweet (spooky) audiobook for a long drive but all you’ve learned is a. you could kys three times over if you took a shot every time he says “dust” (mind you we’re only 1/4 through so add another nine times probably) and b. that he really likes hondas and land cruisers

equivalent of “they’re eating the dogs. they’re eating the cats” but make it children

guys im on a horror book streak august is the new certified spooky month

guys i think we have a fiver on our hands i am gobbling this up

SPOOKUGUST

so the gods just like to be MESSY

i do believe it’s time for a crucial re-read

so far so good the energy is spooky

oopsie it was returned. ill come back (maybe) one day

actually what is up with this man and ears.

downgraded just the tiniest bit from 5 only because of the length ie i have to want to read it again for it to be 5. so we’re at 4.75

i really really really reeeeeally want to be more into this

ugh the story is not living up to the scary cover

her remembrance of events and conversations as a kid are baffling

ok this might be a 5 star.

@lily i think you’d really like this book: it’s both of our genres: nonfiction/historical haunted with horror

random shuffle brought this book into my hands. solid audio while at work

oopsie it was returned. will revisit another day

he’s the heir to the yogurt empire!

really excited to read a play again. i WILL be prepared for the movir adaptation

“you deserve this. you have killed yourself. yes you may kiss me, and cry, and wring out my cries and kisses and tears. they’ll blight you. they’ll damn you. you LOVED me. then what right had you to leave me.” heathcliff = number one enemy

the OG toxic situationship man: “are you, possessed with the devil, to talk in that manner to me when you are dying!? do you reflect that all those words will be branded in my memory and eating deeper eternally after you have left me. you know you lie to say I have killed you. it is not sufficient for your infernal selfishness that while you are at peace, I shall writhe in the torments of hell!”
