idk… not sure how i’m feeling, i was definitely feeling bogged down in the first 30-40% I felt like we had revelations at the end of the first book and that we would be moving forward a lot but then quite quickly it felt like we took massive steps back again. I’m more with it now where i’m at in the book so we shall see:/

I was considering soft dnf-ing at around 20% because it just wasn’t holding my attention but I think i’m back and will continue for now.

I fear this one’s gonna feel like a long one

I do feel that the first half has dragged quite a bit, yes of course there needs to be a lot of setting up as it’s the first book in a fantasy series but perhaps this isn’t the book for the mood i’m in as there’s just quite a lot of back and forth between the characters which has become very repetitive

there’s this weird grammatical error that has come up like 15 times in the first 100 pages where if there’s a word that has sis in it the S is capitalised like ‘asSisted’ it’s annoying me otherwise colour me intrigued with what’s going on

this is going to be devastating I fear
