I brought 2 books on my 2 week trip thinking I’d read both, but I started with this flaming load of shite and the 2 book goal is not happening whatsoever :(

Picked up this bad boy for $7 in the Homesense clearance section and so far so good!

Audiobook was available and the description sounded interesting so giving it a try and so far 😗🤌

Page 53: “Shane wasn’t far removed from the man he’d been when he passed out on Gayle King’s shoulder as Jesse Williams announced that he’d won the 2009 NAACP Award for Outstanding Fiction.”

Idk why this quote enticed me into researching this, but this is false Jesse Williams did not win that award, he wasn’t even nominated that year so now I’m irritated for no reason about this random lie.

The absolute eeriness of this book is something I never wish to experience again, because I know what’s most likely going to come to light but I really don’t want it to, like Jude please for my mental health and for yours especially😫

I can already tell this is going to be one of my favourite books ever and that I’m going to be sobbing soon…

Why can I not be a faster reader though? This is 2 hours of reading progress :(

It’s time people… finally found this book after like 2 months of searching and I’m officially done exams so I’ve got about 800 pages to read over Christmas break, but it will somehow get done
