first time acknowledging that the caterpillar really is infuriating

engaging so far!

i return to this to read a few chapters every time i need to escape. it is truly the most beautiful book i’ve ever owned

i like her mum. she’s cute.

this book is so insanely good. i have such visceral reactions im sure the people on the tube thought i was going to hurl several times on this commute

so pleased to be back into this book. ashamed to have taken a hiatus, it is SERIOUSLY good

this book is so seriously addicting that i honestly expected to finish it in one sitting this evening and am only stopping because i’m so tired all the words are jumbling together

ughhhhhhhhh so good so so so engaging

i am SO engaged with this book.
unfortunately a deeply relatable main character bc i too grew up to be “dokhtare kharab” not “khub”

did my classic “forgot this book existed because it wasn’t directly in my line of vision”

i am terrified of people cracking their necks. also i hope their dad gets arrested at some point bc this is SO stressful to read (in a good way) (like. emotive).

molly is the best, this is the coolest book ever.
my favourite story of all time and it’s BEAUTIFUL AND COLOURFUL AND FULL OF PICTURES AND INTERACTIVE PAGES

finished the first part (ie. the first book)

a raw and honest insight into the horrific realities of the Holocaust and beyond

loving the perspective gradually shifting as she realises she’s losing control over the situation (or never had it to begin with)

love her writing style. pleading the fifth on all other aspects of the book.

a mark of a great book is genuinely not wanting to put it down, but being forced to because you have places to be in the morning. reassured only by the fact that going to sleep now will give you more time tomorrow to continue its reading.

genuinely sobbing and crying and wailing over here

obsessed with O’Farrell’s writing style. “a rare talent to enthrall” is so beyond correct
