I really hate this main character. Will I ever like her? She makes this book very hard to read!!!!

Two big complaints so far: 1, I can definitely tell this is a man writing a woman. Sometimes it’s very cringey. 2, SUPER LONG CHAPTERS

Excuse me but what the *fuck* is going on in this book!!!!

I like absolutely nothing about this new place. It's just like being outside, but worse.

The story, the pacing, the format of story and podcast, the characters (both good and bad) this book is really incredible I can’t put it down.

“Kitay’s Sinegard was full of wonders, completely accessible, and crammed with things that belonged to him. Kitay’s Sinegard wasn’t terrifying, because Kitay had money. If he tripped, half the shop owners on the street would help him up, hoping for a handsome tip. If his pocket were cut, he’d go home and get another purse. Kitay could afford to be victimized by the city because he had room to fail.”

This book is SO good. And the way the mythology is weaved into this story is SO GOOD. Everything IS JUST SO GOOD.

I have been so engrossed in this book that I haven’t updated progress much. I identify with Daisy and Karen a LOT. Especially when it comes to not wanting to be a mother and fearing the regret I could possibly feel by bringing a child into the world.

It was super cute that Delora, despite her infinite wisdom, power, and mystery, still made Kiva hang out during her book club and make scones lol
