So far, it’s pretty good. I like the story and the characters are good, though many of the tropes seem slightly overused. I look forward to seeing where it goes and hopefully it builds a memorable identity.

I love this book so far its construction between short and longer chapters really helps the emotions punch you in the gut. The way Sal’s emotions are described is so honest and emotional - the emotions are conflicting but in a way I can understand and properly digest. My only complaint is that it moves fast. Suddenly one bad event and then - BOOM! Another very bad event! What new bad event will emerge? Who knows?

So far I’ve just gotten to the reveal of Sirius Black. The story as been very interesting, as has the mystery. Trelawny’s predictions always coming true, like Hermione leaving, are one of my favorite parts of the book, ignoring how much they make of of her. I especially love Crookshanks and mourn his absence in the movies. I’m sure I’ll love the ending and the final reveal of who is Sirius Black.
