SO good. This feels like a really important book. McMahon’s approach to these stories is so balanced. She is able to acknowledge character flaws and tragic mistakes made by people, but she also recognizes the impact of their right choices. These stories are amazing and so encouraging! Her writing style felt like talking to a friend. I hope she writes more books!

The violence of the OT is really challenging for me at times, but I’m excited to be reading the Bible in this way because it’s helping me see the broader purpose.
